I want to thank everyone that I’ve had the pleasure to know and to serve over the years, even before I had stepped into the capacity of being the Program Director for 8th Mountain Ranch. Almost 10 years ago, my family founded this beautiful ministry. What started as a step of faith towards the vision the Lord had given us, has grown into a beautiful outreach that God has used over the last decade to help so many families. And with the vision of 8th Mountain Ranch being to “Rescue, Redeem, and Release”, I’ve had the honor of getting to watch and help so many of you walk through that process. It has been such a rewarding season working for 8th Mountain Ranch through every morning and evening session, meeting every one of you, and hearing every story—you have all left a tremendous impact on my life and I will not forget the memories made with you.

With that being said, in this new season, God has directed my husband and I to move in a new direction which will ultimately end my time at 8th Mountain Ranch. While this news is bittersweet, I’ve come to realize—with the Lord’s guidance—that 8th Mountain’s ministry has done for me what it has done for so many of you.

When our ministry started, I was legally blind and profoundly deaf. Doctors had told me that I had no hope of healing—but Jesus! Through the vision God gave our family, I was rescued from the hopelessness of having no future and I was completely healed. Over my course of volunteering and serving with 8th Mountain, I was redeemed in more ways than I can count. As hard as it is to step away from my role at 8th Mountain, the Lord has made it clear that it’s part of my release into the future He has for me. Had someone asked me twelve years ago where I would be today, I would have never guessed I’d be serving 8th Mountain in this capacity. Had you asked me a year ago, I would have never believed I would do anything outside of working for 8th Mountain. God is continually doing a new thing and is inviting us to join Him in it.

I want to thank each of you for your involvement at 8th Mountain Ranch—no matter the role you played—because whether you realized it or not, the Lord was using many of you to minister to us as well. I will miss all of you, but I know even as I am being moved onto something else, the Lord is watching over every single one of you.

With love and gratitude,
Rachael Tripp
